Beekeepers in many countries have lost their bees because of Varroa mites during beekeeping. With the development of modern agriculture, Various countries have developed a lot of drugs against varroa mites, but the high price of most drugs makes many bee farmers flinch. As the first bee medicine GMP certification enterprise in China, Weipeng developed Flumethrin strips at a low price many years ago.

Flumethrin Strips (known as Bayvarol) were widely used as a product for varroa treatment. The varroa mites killing rate is between 90-97%.

Product Information

Pharmacological Action: The Flumethrin Strips are of acaricides, killing mites majorly through contact killing. It works in every growth stage of mites, acts on eggs, nymphs, and adult mites, and possesses rather strong rapid availability and long sustainable effectiveness.

Cautions:

1. When hanging Flumethrin Strips, make sure to wear protective gloves.

2. The Flumethrin Strips can’t be placed continuously inside the hive for more than eight weeks;

3. Abandoned drug strips mustn’t be used repeatedly, instead, they should be destroyed with centralized disposal;

4. Open the package just before the immediate use;

5. Use it prudently on a cloudy rainy day or when the temperature is lower than 20℃ ;

6. No contact with edible honey and no storage with pesticides or other chemicals together;

7. Due to differences in air temperature, region, the population of a bee colony, and bee individuals, try out one swarm or two before the use of the medicine, observe for 24 hours, and adjust the dosage according to the effect to kill mites and bee safety in order to reach the best effect to kill mites.

Usage and Dosage: Use 1 flumethrin strip for each 10 brood frames per week for 3 to 4 weeks as a course of treatment, then the varroa can be controlled for 6 to 8 weeks (depending on the severity of the varroa damage). (dosage can be increased or reduced in terms of the honey bee's actual situation).
